Central Iowa AHEC to Hold Last Cultural Diversity Class in Series

Central Iowa AHEC and Broadlawns Medical Center are presenting the third and final class in a summer series of continuing education courses focusing on cultural diversity. "Cultural Diversity and Mental Health: An Introduction for Those Working with Newcomer Populations" explores the increasing challenges with recognizing special mental health concerns among diverse populations and addressing their needs in a culturally appropriate manner. Dr. Michele Devlin and Dr. Mark Grey from the University of Northern Iowa are the faculty for this workshop. Dr. Devlin is the director of the Iowa Center on Health Disparities and Dr. Grey is the director of the Iowa Center on Immigrant Leadership and Integration.
