Iowa Simulation Center

Des Moines University

Do you know what's wrong with Harvey? Visit the Simulation Lab to find out! With functioning pupils, working tear ducts and authentic heart and lung sounds, Harvey and his fellow medical mannequins provide realistic patient experiences to prepare students for real-life situations. Participants in the Sim Lab are presented with clinical scenarios and must diagnose the problems of the lifelike mannequins.

While the Sim Lab is mainly used as a training tool for health professions students, it is open to the public for group visits. If you are interested in providing a hands-on experience or simply a tour for your group or classroom, schedule a visit.
